Watch Packaging

This innovative watch packaging is designed for adventurers, doubling as a functional watch stand inspired by mountain peaks.

The slatted wood design mirrors the rugged terrains explored by runners and mountaineers, while the structure discreetly integrates a charging setup.

The Pioneers of
Outdoor Tech Wear take
on Wearable Tech

Arc’teryx has cultivated a loyal community of athletes and adventurers who rely on its products for peak performance and safety.

Expanding into wearable technology represents a strategic evolution, enabling the brand to deliver comprehensive solutions for successful expeditions, from head to toe

CMF Process

I explored various material applications, from plywood, FDM,  to clear and opaque acrylics, incorporating techniques like sandblasting, laser engraving, and painting.

Key considerations included optimizing strength and support, minimizing weight, and creating visual unity across all elements.

Typically, electronics chargers and manuals are hidden, but I wanted them to become intentional, designed components of this kit.

Functional Form

I adjusted the slatting of the structure to allow the charger to pass through. The idea was for the packaging to double as a charging stand for this premium performance product.

The Take-Away

To complete this project I experimented with several materials and tools including;  laser cutting, acrylic gluing process, table saw, sand blasting, and perfect binding.
